Understanding Stress Caused by Trauma
Severe stress is caused by toxic trauma, which can come from negative experiences with anyone, in any environment.
Stress results in physical and mental health problems, including cutting years from a person's life.

Toxic behavior can come from negative experiences with anyone associated with your personal life or workplace: bullying, favoritism, disrespect, gaslighting, neglect, targeting, lack of flexibility, lack of support, condescension, rudeness, various threats, and more.
Trauma Effects
Stress, severe stress, repeated stress, or a combo can cause physical and mental health problems because stress affects hormones and every part of the body.
Physical examples: coronary artery disease, diabetes, obesity, auto-immune disorders, digestive disorders, fatigue, migraine and tension headaches, and more.
Mental examples: inability to function in daily personal and work activities; change in personality; PTSD/Complex-PTSD; constant vigilance and state of fight-flight-freeze; sleep deprivation; substance abuse/overuse; new phobias and fears; obsessive-compulsive behaviors; and will cut years from a person's life!

Genuinely listen to people who need your understanding, support, empathy, and assistance; people are your best asset! If an employee, any employee, tells you there is a problem, listen to them with an open mind and heart! I will educate you on how to address these situations.
Question

Toxic behavior can come from negative experiences with anyone associated with the workplace: bullying, favoritism, disrespect, gaslighting, neglect, targeting, lack of flexibility, lack of support, condescension, rudeness, various threats, and more.
Current effects or residuals from traumatic relationships in personal life can affect a person's fuctioning in the workplace.
Why an Ongoing Problem?
Although many businesses have damaging situations from trauma, there is usually little focus on the underlying problems due to lack of understanding about the root cause. The core/underlying problems never just go away; with time and avoidance, they get worse! People in the workplace rarely report problems due to fear of possible retaliation by the internal abuser(s), fear of not being believed or jeopardizing their job, or fear of colleagues learning about their personal/domestic trauma situations.
Companies don't want to diagnose. However, describing a person's Behavior/Personality Style, as shown on a Personality Specturm, is not diagnosing.
I present the Personality Spectrum, and explain Style vs Diagnosis. My information is based on my experience and education, the knowledge and experience of mental health professionals, and the DSM-5 (Diagnostic Statistical Manual), which is their official practice tool.
